IN response to the story about affordable housing, June 22 and the praise given to Bolton council given by chief executive Jon Lord of Bolton at Home.
My question to Mr Lord is, has he heard of the village of Blackrod because hundreds of residents would not agree to his praise of the council after the recent approved plans to take a children's play area and green space for social housing. Despite objections from hundreds of residents and local councillors, the scheme to build on green space was ignored.
Newly elected MP Chris Green stated in the story not to build on green spaces when brown field sites exist. Once again Bolton council ignores the wishes of the people. What next? Bolton people beware, it could be your children's park next.
