I MUST say the term 'Free lunch hand outs' smacks a bit of something I don't like.
I was raised before the war and remember free school meals. How far have we really come in the time since then?
It makes it sound like the unfortunate population who can't afford lunch money are in the same position.
I was the youngest of a family of six school aged children and my dear father died in 1939 and left my poor mother to raise us all. Surely Great Britain has come further along its road to come to this. Are we going backwards?
Millions of pounds are wasted on silly projects. It comes back to means testing and help yourself because the government won't help. It's back to the workhouses and evictions on the streets, just what happened to my family. What's happened to good Christian friendship, love and charity?
Why make such a fuss of a disgrace like this. Talk about loaves and fishes.
