BOLTON Council of Mosques are deeply saddened by the passing of Haji Qasim Akram and other respected Hajee’s at the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Friday, September 11 2015.
Marhoom Haji Qasim Akram was in the state of ihram (sacred state to perform a pilgrimage) and engaged in worship in the Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the world, when the accident happened amid high winds and thunderstorms. Scores of others lost their lives through this accident too and our hearts go out to the loved ones of all who passed away.
Bolton Council of Mosques will offer every possible support needed by the late Haji Akram's family at this very difficult time, through our dedicated Bereavement and Counselling teams.
We have already sent messages out to all the mosques in Bolton to remember the ones we have lost, in our daily prayers.
