I WANT to say thank you to so many who helped Bolton Interfaith Council to make it a memorable week in Bolton during the "national interfaith week".
During the week, we had six events in seven days and this is only possible if there is genuine support and understanding of the value of everyone coming
together for all the good reasons of strengthening our community relationships.
We had some amazing moments and wonderful comments from many who attended the events. There were eight schools, 281 pupils, almost 400 plus adults, many volunteer-led activities, lots of fun, dancing, music and much more to bring people of diverse community and varied ages to come together.
Through sad and tragic events in Paris, the 'Peace Prayers' on Friday were a fitting tribute from the Bolton family to victims and their families.
On behalf of BIC, the support from places of worships, Bolton FM, Market Place, Emmanuel Church, Bolton CVS, Faith Group Partners, Faith Leaders' Forum, Interfaith Youth Trust, Interfaith Network - UK, Building Bridges, Asian Elders, Interfaith Young Ambassadors, school pupils and staff, Carr's Pasties, Bolton Halwa Centre, and many other individuals and volunteers who supported these events, once again, many thanks for the support which made it a very rewarding week.
