I fully agree with Craig W North via Facebook, it certainly would be wiser improving the dreadful public transport around 'Logistics North' (formerly known as Cutacre).

As for his suggestion that a train station be campaigned for, I can assure him that a campaign is already underway.

I first began investigating the proposal around six months ago, looking at a possible location and have met with the developers of the site. I have now identified a suitable location.

But what amazes me, is why hasn't the council been leading on this and putting the case to Transport for Greater Manchester? This should not be something that is a long-term aspiration for the council, this should be something they should have been fighting for from the start.

How much more of a selling point to a company seeking to re-locate or expand than that there is a rail link to the site? The campaign for a new 'Logistics North' rail station continues, as I feel it is essential that in order to guarantee the future sustainability and profitability of such a major new development (especially adjoining an existing railway) there needs to be a new railway station on the site with proper connecting bus links.

It can be done and I urge the council to demonstrate the will to make it happen.
