WE constantly hear council leader Cliff Morris and his Labour followers telling us they want to attract more visitors to Bolton.
This I presume is to try to get more money spent in the town centre shopping areas.
To this end a fortune of our money has been spent on modernising the town hall.
Inside it is now open and bright. The council has been throwing our money at the outside of the town hall for a couple of years and there doesn't seem to be an end to it.
So if Cllr Morris gets his new visitors coming to the town centre, what happens is that they get fed up with all the pot holes in the roads. They would have to pay to park, they might have to pay to repair their cars. So why not go to Middlebrook, or Bury or the Trafford Centre, they have free parking, better roads. So ask, "For whom the Bell tolls, it tolls for thee Bolton"
