THE American President tells us we are better off in the EU rather than out for his own political reasons (TTIP), his interests are what is best for the USA and not the UK people's care, well being and quality of life.

He also mentions, "our special relationship" with each other. In reality that relationship is only "special" when it suits the American interests. We can't be very special when we are told the UK would have to go to the back of the queue like a naughty schoolboy regarding any future trade deals with America unless we are members of the EU.

We weren't at the back of the queue it seems when America needed us on operations in Afghanistan and Iraq where many British lives were sadly lost. Perhaps next time conflict arises as it will with the Americans, they could contact their new best friends in the EU to assist them using the soon to be formed EU federal army before contacting us in little Britain, who just happen to have the fifth largest economy in the world.

We are also top of the heap of the world's financial markets, the greatest network in the world for trade, influence/security, have a worldwide English speaking commonwealth with 1.1 billion people while being the largest trading partner the USA has in the EU with over 40% of all trade being with the UK. And not forgetting our superb armed forces who are first to be called by many all over the world when help is needed.

Back of the queue Mr President, pull the other one.
