I AM a member of the Conservative Party. I find the protestations by our Prime Minister that he has secured an 'advantageous' arrangement for our country in relation to our EU membership to be wide of the mark meaning that the only sensible choice for the electorate is to vote to leave this autocratic organisation.

I have found the increasingly threatening tones coming from Cameron and Osborne to be nothing short of embarrassing for the government. In my opinion the Out Campaign would be home and hosed by now were it not for the fact Nigel Farage is a constant reminder that UKIP is not the answer to our problems either.

How can, on any sensible analysis, anyone view the waste of £160m a year on the costs of moving the EU parliament for four days a month from Brussels to Strasbourg to be acceptable.

It is quite frankly abhorrent that this moving of resources on a regular basis for no good reason has cost this country an estimated £300m since it started. To move the EU Parliament some 200 miles is a nonsense of epic proportions given no logical or economic reason for it to take place.

It also comes as no surprise to me to hear that Corbyn, and his not so merry band, wants to stay in this club that equates to membership of a trades union with all its restrictive practices.

I really do not need faceless EU bureaucrats telling me whether or not I can enjoy a British sausage. I hope that on June 24 we can start a bright new future free of the constraints of the EU whether or not that means the resignation of a hitherto effective Prime Minister in what would be a sad postscript to six years of effective leadership.
