DAVID Cameron has been a brilliant Prime Minister and I'm very sorry to see him step down after Leave won the Referendum.

Mr Cameron, and the governments he has headed over the last six years, has worked very hard to bring Britain out of the recession caused by the global crash and years of mismanagement. He brought us gay marriage, a cause he staked his career on and won despite the odds. He has left Britain in a far stronger position than when he found it, and for that he deserves our thanks.

Despite being on the losing side for the Referendum, Mr Cameron still enjoys widespread support in the Conservative Party, as demonstrated by so many pro-Leave Conservative campaigners signing a letter asking him to stay on. While I understand his reasons for deciding to go, I can't help but think the country would benefit immensely from his leadership and experience during the Exit negotiations.
