I HAVE read the stories about the skate park in Great Moor Street.
People are using the skate park as a short cut between Morrisons and the town centre.
The siting of the entrances to the park are the cause of the problem.
It is unfair to the young people who use the skate park for them to try to ensure the safety of people using the 'short cut'.
If there was no short cut there would not be a problem.
I believe the entrance on Great Moor Street should be closed with a secure fence. Another entrance could be inserted somewhere where there would no longer be a short cut.
By this means, neither the public, nor the users of the park would be placed in unnecessary danger.
