I VISITED my son's grave in St Michael's churchyard and found a notice on the grave about the removal of decorations, kerbs, railings, fencing, chippings, statues or any other stones in the shape of a heart.
I have been given eight weeks from the site of the notice (it was dated August 14). I would like to know from the Rev Bob Horrocks, team rector, on behalf of the Parochial Parish Church council, does this apply to every Church of England grave yard and what purpose it serves?
Why, and what, difference is a heart shaped grave stone rather than a square shape? I think this idea is complete nonsense and would like yo know what other readers think.
