TO the good people of the Bromley Cross area who are objecting to the building of 100 new homes on their precious green-belt land.
We in Over Hulton are suffering the same fate (albeit on a much larger scale) but take heart....because the leader of Bolton Council, Cliff Morris, has said, quote: "our plan is to work towards using as many brownfield sites as possible and we are looking at ways to make sure developers carry out their plans to build on these spaces."
In fact Town Hall bosses have insisted that draft plans to create thousands of new homes across the borough will only go ahead if they are happy that Bolton's green belt will be protected. My tongue is in my cheek. Watch this space.
