THE Prime Minister said there was no such thing as a money tree, everything must be costed and therefore the Labour Party was lying. Perhaps, but the truth is now out!

The Conservatives, in the back garden of 10 Downing Street, have a money tree. It is only small at the moment but it is growing as they have already managed to find a £1billion to bribe the Northern Irish Protestants.

But seriously, everything has to be paid for; the Conservatives’ first instinct is to tax the poor because the rich need the money to live in this country or they will run away. So be it.

I've got a better idea; we all know that the police, doctors, nurses and firemen do such a fantastic job. In fact Theresa May was nearly in tears, saying how well these people serve our country. Yes they do but not when it comes to paying them. Not like our MPs who have managed to do very nicely out of the wage increases and what about the Queen, eight per cent because she's worth it.

So how do we manage to pay these people who really deserve it without penalising the poor of this country? May I suggest that we cancel HS2. The nation really doesn't need it at the moment. The money would be far better spent increasing the pay of these people.

This government is not fit for purpose and neither was the last Labour government. They both disregarded human life and what is actually wrong with the rich paying a little more in taxation so people who have little nothing can live a decent life.
