THE Grundy Farm development, which was built unlawfully in the Green Belt, continues to take money from the taxpayers' pocket.
It has taken up council time now for three years because the planning department is a lame duck.
The developers ignored rules and regulations on two occasions.
Shall we just throw these laws out the window?
On day one, the buildings should have been demolished and the matter concluded.
The consultants are now pleading poverty on behalf of the developers and buyers who purchased these buildings.
They are intelligent people who must have realised they were purchasing unlawful properties, and the developers are only interested in following their own agenda.
The only satisfactory conclusion is to tear down these buildings and show the law is in place for a reason.
