COULD I suggest to correspondent B Robertson ("What about the mess cats make", October 10) that if it is such a problem then perhaps they could put down orange peel.
It is cheap and will keep cats away from the garden. Pepper works too.
I have two cats. What am I supposed to do, not let them out? At least when cats make a mess they cover it up, unlike dogs.
I think that fining cat owners is a bit harsh. Maybe the Government should start fining people for things that they deserve to be fined for. Enough said!
