MORRIS dancing is a popular form of entertainment, particularly here in Bolton.
We recently featured the Horwich Prize Medal Morris Men in Looking Back and got a great response from readers to that article.
So we thought you might like to see these little dancers who were taking part in a morris dancing competition in October 1990.
They were members of The Diamond Supremes and earned an incredible five winners' trophies at the North West Championships in Prestatyn.
The group, which trained at Moss County Primary School in Breightmet, had been around for just four years when they did so well at the competition.
Trainer Rosaline Edgar said at the time: "We were thrilled. We did far better than we dared to hope."
Trophies were won in the baby novice section for four to six-year-olds, with leader Donna Rushton capturing the individual title and the dinky section for seven to nine-year-olds, with Jilly Coyle winning the best leader title.
Sara Dulligan, aged 14, won the individual leader title in the junior troupe section while the junior team finished in third place overall.
