OLD timer Jackie desperately needs a new home before she spends her third Christmas in an animal shelter.
All this Labrador cross needs is a warm cosy bed and someone to love her in time for the festive period but so far no one has offered her a home.
She has spent more than two years at the Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter and manager Karen Rickards is hoping she will find a home before she dies in the shelter.
Jackie is a large dog who arrived at the shelter when her owner died, brought in by two relatives who claimed she was a stray.
“She is 13 years old and we really don’t want her to die in the shelter,” said Ms Rickards.
She would not suit a busy household and would be most suited to a single person or a couple who lead a gentle life.
She is fairly strong and big so needs someone who can cope with this. Because of her age she does not need a lot of exercise.
Jackie is available on a foster scheme so all bills would be met by the shelter.
“There must be someone who would love her,” said Ms Rickards. Contact 01204 526486.
