THIS town centre street is packed with shoppers back in 1949 when our photograph was taken.
Deansgate has always been busy but we are not sure we have ever seen it quite so packed.
There is a shop on the left called Graham Lincoln but we are not sure what it sold and the the building on the corner looks fascinating but is very different today.
There is a Boots the Chemist and several bus stops which are no longer there.
