McFly have been confirmed to play a huge open-air event near Haigh Hall this July.
The chart-topping band, including former Thornleigh Salesian College student Danny Jones, will play Wigan Life Tuned In on Monday July 5.
The Wigan Life Tuned-In Concerts series is part of a much wider “summer of sound” planned across Wigan in 2010.
On July 4 the borough’s best unsigned acts will be able to perform at the arena ahead of the concert series for the 2010 Haigh Fest.
This free annual celebration of the borough’s best unsigned bands is now in its eighth year.
Immediately following the Wigan Life Tuned-In Concerts Wigan’s 25th International Jazz Festival (July 10 to July 17) will start at Robin Park.
Tickets for the McFly show cost £27.50 and are available by ringing 0844 847 2386.
