THE Wanted will take a break from their current arena tour to attend the Brit awards, tonight.
The band, including Bolton boys Tom Parker and Max George, have been nominated in the Best British Single category for their song, Glad You Came.
They will be battling it out against multi-Grammy Award winner, Adele, rapper Example, pop princesses Jessie J and Pixie Lott, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and The Military Wives, who took the
Christmas number one slot.
The former X Factor acts are also up for the award — JLS, Olly Murs and One Direction, who are currently hot favourites at 8/15.
Bury band Elbow have been nominated for the Best British Group award, against Coldplay, Chase and Status, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian.
This year’s Outstanding Contribution to Music award will be presented to Blur.
