THE Lancashire Hotpots have been confirmed as support band for The Damned's gig at the Albert Halls on September 27.
Formed only six months ago, the comedy band sing about the accoutrements of 21st century life - sat navs, meeting girls on MySpace and emos.
They released their debuts album, Never Mind The Hotpots, on their own label, and the single He's Turned Emo has been championed by Colin Murray on his Radio One show. The song has had almost 100,000 listens on the band's MySpace site - www.myspace.com/thelancashirehotpots.
Bassist Dickie Ticker said: "Can you imagine if some of our proud Lancashire heroes had turned Emo? George Formby wearing a Freddy Krueger top singing about self harming? Fred Dibner with eyeliner? Not for me thanks."
Tickets cost £15, and are available via the Albert Halls box office at www.alberthalls-bolton.co.uk or by ringing 01204 334433.
