COMEDIAN Omid Djalili has let slip details about his October and November tour, including a date at Bolton’s Albert Hall.

It was originally intended for Djalili to announce the tour on the BBC’s One Show, tonight, however on Tuesday he posted a link on his Twitter feed to the website Chortle, which had the full details.

The tour is titled Tour Of Duty, and will feature more of his expertly crafted cultural observations.

A firm favourite at the Edinburgh Festival with his legendary performances, Omid’s stand-up awards include the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up and was a South Bank Award and Perrier Award nominee.

Omid was the winner of the best actor award for his lead performance in The Infidel at the Turin Film Festival, won the previous year by Bill Murray. The Infidel also picked up a Loaded LAFTA award for funniest film and Omid was short listed for the Peter Sellers Award at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards. He will play the Albert Halls on Wednesday, October 26.

Tickets cost £19, go on sale at 9am tomorrow, and are available from alberthalls-bolton.co.uk or by ringing 01204 334400.

Djalili will also appear at this year’s Latitude Festival, held in Suffolk in July.
