THE hit musical Les Miserables is to return to Manchester in 2019 after an absence of almost 10 years.
Cameron Mackintosh's Broadway production will be at the Palace Theatre for six weeks from the middle of February next year.
The current production was originally staged to make the 25th anniversary of the musical based on a novel by Victor Hugo.
Sir Cameron Mackintosh said: "I am thrilled that modern audiences have embraced this production as Les Mis for the 21st century and it is playing to packed houses all over the world in many languages."
Les Miserables, Palace Theatre, Manchester, Tuesday, February 19 to Saturday, March 30, 2019. Tickets will go on sale later this year. Details from 0844 871 3019 or www.atgtickets.com
