CAST members from the Octagon’s current production of David Copperfield will be helping Bolton get into the Christmas spirit with a free storytelling event this weekend.
The actors will be reading extracts from traditional festive stories including A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist and, of course, David Copperfield.
The event is on Saturday, at Waterstones in Deansgate, and will start at 12.30pm.
Director Elizabeth Newman said: “We are really excited to be working with Waterstones and I know the actors are looking forward to reading some classic Christmas stories to the people of Bolton, it’s a chance to share some of the magic that literature brings to us all.”
David Copperfield is at the Octagon until Saturday, January 15.
