Nineteen swimmers will take part in a sponsored swim tomorrow at Radcliffe Pool And Fitness Centre in memory of a tragic teenager.
They each aim to swim two miles — 128 lengths — and hope to raise hundreds of pounds for Epilepsy Bereaved.
The fundraiser is in memory of 19-year-old Samantha Ahearn, of Dumers Close, who died in 2009 after suffering an epileptic fit.
Her parents have since collected more than £20,000 for the charity and worked to raise awareness of SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy).
The event will include a tea, coffee and cake sale, a tombola and information about Epilepsy Bereaved.
