A BUSY road in Bolton has been shut after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
Deane Road is currently closed between Cannon Street and Pikes Lane Health Centre, causing long queues of traffic.
The emergency services were called to Deane Road at 5.15pm when a man was hit by a green Peugeot 206.
The man, who is in his 50s, suffered a head injury.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and reported to be conscious and breathing .
