BOLTON’S MPs have backed the inquiry and said patient safety comes first.
Yasmin Qureshi and Julie Hilling have spoken to the Trust’s interim chairman, David Wakefield, about the situation.
Ms Qureshi, MP for Bolton South East, was “very concerned” about the allegations. She added: “I welcome the action the Trust is taking to tackle this issue. If there is any evidence of deliberate wrongdoing then the strongest action needs to be taken.
Ms Hilling, MP for Bolton West, said it was “far too early to draw conclusions” about the investigation. She added: “I welcome the fact that the hospital is bringing in an external team to look at this and see what has been going on.”
