TRAVELLERS have moved onto pastures new in Bolton.

More than 20 caravans and vehicles — including two horses — pitched up at the NCP-ran Railway Triangle car park on Sunday but were served notice to move on within 24 hours.

The group have vacated the temporary site and moved on to another patch of land opposite a car park in Chorley Street.

Bolton Council have served another notice on the new site and maintained their original stance.

A council spokesperson said: “We are aware of travellers on this site and have already served them with a notice to vacate the premises within 24 hours. If they are still there after 24 hours, they will be served with a summons to appear in court.”
