FOUR adorable kittens are desperate for loving homes after they were found dumped in a park.

The helpless little felines were discovered by a dog walker in Haslam Park, Deane, who heard their mewing as he passed on Tuesday.

Now, the cute quads are in the safe hands of Bolton animal charity Pets in Need — but they urgently need new homes.

The eight-week-old kittens include female tortoiseshell, a black female, a ginger male and tabby male.

For now, they are being looked after by Pets in Need volunteer Dinah Hill at her home in Bradshaw.

Mrs Hill, of Bradshaw Road, said: “These kittens are absolutely beautiful but they need a loving home and responsible new owners.

“They were riddled with fleas and worms and were very hungry when they were found. But we’ve treated all of that now and litter trained them so they are ready to go.

“They are all gorgeous and the boys are little hooligans. They will make lovely pets for someone.”

But Mrs Hill says the abandoned kittens are the latest example of irresponsible pet ownership.

Mrs Hill added: “This a prime example of people being lazy and not having their animals neutered or spayed. There are lots of animal charities across Bolton offering free advice to pet owners about animal care.

“There really is no excuse for abandoning animals when so many charities will take them in.

“The problem is people love having cats when they are kittens but lose interest when they grow up. It’s important that people can give these kittens caring homes for life.”

Could you give one of these kittens a home?
