WANDERERS fans will get their first chance to discuss plans to revamp matchdays at the Reebok with the launch of a new forum.

Around 20 people have applied to be part of the Home Matchday Experience and Attendance Working Group, who will meet for the first time this evening.

The brainchild of Wanderers head of sales Richard Gough, it is hoped the newly-formed group will be a driving force behind new initiatives at the stadium aimed to bring a wider range of fans. Up for discussion tonight will be how best to put the new family stand to use, and how to attract young fans.

“It’s a great opportunity to engage with the supporters on a one-to-one basis, listen to their thoughts and ideas and see if they can be put into practice,” said Gough.

“Supporters almost always have a view on where they feel we can improve and I really want this group to be the vehicle they use to put their views across.

“The important thing is that fans feel they are being listened to, and that their view is being passed on to the right people.”

Minutes from the group will be published, and an email address will be set up to allow fans to contribute who do not wish to attend the meetings in person.

A disabled supporters group will also meet separately.
