A GUN-wielding criminal was spotted visiting a house in Kearsley.

Police said two men riding a scooter drove to a home in Mossfield Road between 4.30pm and 5.30pm yesterday, Wednesday.

One of the men, who was carrying a handgun under his arm, walked up the path to the front window of the home then walked back to his scooter and left the scene.

No shots were fired. The scooter was red with the registration HF09 CNK.

The man with the gun was white and about 16 years old. He was wearing an all grey tracksuit with white stripes.

Police are now asking witnesses to contact them.

Det Insp Denise Pye said: “At this stage this appears to be an isolated incident and there are no concerns for the wider community, however, it was extremely distressing for the occupants of the house and we are obviously keen to identify these two men urgently.

“If you have seen a scooter which matches the description or you were in the area and saw these two men we would very much like to hear from you.”
