A FLASHER who exposed himself to several women in Bolton over a week long period, has been jailed for 20 weeks.

Gustav Jakubics carried out sexual acts on himself in front of the women near a doctor’s surgery, a primary school and a bus station, Bolton magistrates heard.

Nicola Ormerod, prosecuting, told how Jakubics’ first victim was driving on Avon Street heading for the Cornerstone surgery at 3.30pm on June 25 when she saw Jakubics standing in front of a vehicle exposing himself.

Then four days later, in the middle of the afternoon another woman was walking along Chorley Old Road, near the Hope and Anchor Inn, when she saw 20-year-old Jakubics facing her, dropping his trousers to his knees and performing a sex act.

At 6.30pm the same day another woman walking her dog came across Jakubics, also on Chorley Old Road, near a car park, where he committed a similar offence.

Five days later there were a further two incidents.

At 6am a woman on her way to work came across Jakubics at the bus station on Blackhorse Street where he exposed himself to her and she rang police from her mobile phone.

He was detained, but later released and at 1.30pm Jakubics approached another woman, who was walking near to Doffcocker Lodge.

In a statement read out in court the woman said: “I didn’t feel worried or frightened, however, this route is very close to a primary school and I often walk along here with my seven-year-old. I was concerned school children might see him.”

Darin Millar, defending, said Jakubics, a Hungarian national who lives in Chorley Old Road, Bolton, has learning difficulties.

Magistrates sentenced him to 20 weeks in prison and ordered him to be placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
