A RECRUITMENT firm has opened an office in Bolton, owing to demand from local firms and a rapid rise in turnover.

Parker Sourcing Ltd is expanding following an unprecedented year in business, which has seen the company almost double its turnover.

The firm specialises in permanent, temporary and interim recruitment in specialist sectors including engineering and manufacturing, executive roles, sales and marketing. Recent vacancies have include roles for CAD/CAM designers, fitters and wirers, sales, power electronics and motor sectors, and waste management.

The company’s new office in Harrow Road, off Chorley New Road, will be headed by managing director Lee Parker.

He has more than 10 years of specialist recruitment experience, six of which has been in the European sector.

Parker Sourcing opened its Manchester office less than 10 months ago. It said it has increased its North West and Scottish client-base and revenue stream since relocating to the region 2011. It is looking to take on a team of recruitment staff to work from its new offices.

Mr Parker said: “The North West has become a key area of growth for us, particularly in the engineering sector. Due to this increased demand we were eager to provide our current and future clients with a resource in the heart of one of the country’s up-and-coming business hubs, as well as consolidating our position as a leading north west recruiter.

“Greater Manchester employs more than 38,000 people in advanced manufacturing which accounts for over a quarter of advanced manufacturing employees in the UK. I am particularly proud that we have been selected to help a number of clients here sustain and build economic prosperity.

“The company will be looking to recruit from all sections of the community, including apprentices through to specialist engineers looking for quality, well-paid jobs.”

The firm has also appointed Helen Kidd, who will be developing its commercial division to offer a diverse range of positions throughout the region.
