A SUSPECTED robber will feature on tonight’s Crimewatch on BBC1.

Detectives have turned to the programme to appeal for information about suspect Lee James Seddon, a 36-year-old was last known to live in Bolton.

He is at large and police hope the public will be able to tell them where he is.

The appeal relates to an incident in the Brookfield Newsagent in Langcliffe Road, Preston, where security guards were targeted by an armed gang of three men while making a cash delivery at an ATM on June 12.

The men, who were wearing balaclavas, and one of them was wielding a machete.

They stole several cash cassettes before fleeing in a Mini Cooper, which was later found abandoned in Troutbeck Place — less than a mile from the newsagents.

Polcie said Seddon is believed to have links to Bolton.

He will feature on the programme’s wanted board along with other suspects, which will be on BBC1 at 9pm tonight.

Det Sgt Martin Pearson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has information as to his whereabouts to contact Lancashire Police.

"He should not be approached by the public.”
