BOLTON DJ Sara Cox was among a raft of celebrities raising money for charity by manning the phones of the City slickers.
Sara was joined by singer Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster, actor Idris Elba — star of the BBC police series Luther — and singer Cerys Matthews on the trading floor at brokerage firm BGC Partners in London’s Docklands.
They were raising money in memory of people who died in the attacks on New York’s Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
Comedian Jimmy Carr, who was the compere for part of the event, said: “They raised a phenomenal amount for 15 different charities.”
Prince William and Prince Harry were also at the event.
