A TEENAGE girl was sexually assaulted as she walked through Great Lever on Sunday afternoon.

The 17-year-old was walking along Grecian Crescent when a man who was walking past her was said to "touch her inappropriately".

She pushed him away and he walked off along Grecian Crescent and out of sight.

The man was Asian, 5ft 5in tall, medium build, in his 30s and had a moustache.

He wore a black padded jacket with white writing on the back and black trousers.

PC David Hyland said: “We believe this assault took place while a number of people were walking on the same road.

"I would ask if anyone witnessed the assault to contact us. I would also appeal to anyone else who believes they may have been a victim to come forward.”
