FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car crash.
Crews from Bolton North Fire and Darwen were called to Broadhead Road, Edgworth, at 6.35pm on Saturday.
There were reports that a car had gone down an embankment and the damaged engine was smoking. A call was also received claiming a car was imbedded in a wall.
When firefighters arrived, they found a car had gone into a ditch and a second car had hit a wall.
Firefighters helped to make the cars safe. Two people were taken to hospital but were not thought to be seriously injured.
