A MAN has been sentenced to a curfew after putting a police officer in a headlock.
Philip Norris, aged 25, of Quebec Street, Deane, admitted beaching the peace on January 8 and assaulting an officer on the same date.
He was ordered to pay the police officer £75 and comply with a 16-week curfew to remain at home between 7pm and 7am.
He was also ordered to pay a £60 surcharge and £85 court costs.
He was also bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for 12 months.
