ROADWORKS caused delays for drivers on a busy road in Kearsley.
Electricity North West carried out work near to the railway bridge at Kearsley train station in Stoneclough Road, Stoneclough, from Saturday.
Temporary traffic lights were set up causing delays for motorists during Monday’s rush hour on the route, used as a cut through between Radcliffe and Bolton.
A spokesman for the company said the work was carried out to put trial holes in the carriageway ahead of work to put in cables near the railway bridge.
The work had been due to run until Thursday but the spokesman said it was on track to be finished yesterday.
