POLICE used a stun gun on a man threatening to jump from a motorway bridge.

The man was seen on a bridge on the M61 near to where it joins with the A666 on the southbound carriageway at 12.40am on Tuesday.

He was assessed by health professionals and discharged.

Roads were closed temporarily while police dealt with the incident.

Stunning,yet again we are left in suspense with half a story,then what?The man was discharged.Did the police detain him? Did they drive him back to the bridge? The police did a great job of keeping someones vehicle from getting coverd in blood and gore they did not get a mention.Maybe when Miranda returns from her tea break she will update us.

of course there is a difference .... annoying, selfish, self-centred ****'s do it for the attention and they know and realize what will happen and the consequences ..... people that are mentally ill and have had enough just see it as an end and are in no mental state to think beyond this
