LORD of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen has signed on for another fantasy.
The former Bolton School pupil will voice the narrator role in "Stardust", whose cast includes Claire Danes, Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Production ended in the autumn and Sir Ian, who played Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, is recording his part during post-production before its release later this year.
The film is about a young man who promises his beloved that he will retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the Faerie realm, where he encounters witches, goblins, gnomes and talking animals.
