RESIDENTS in Leigh are being given the chance to make a healthy start to the new year.
From Monday the Turnpike Centre in Leigh Road will be offering free sessions ranging from tai chi to vegetarian cookery.
Organised by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust's libraries team, the week will offer expert advice about health issues and a variety of free health sessions at Leigh library.
Anne Turner, WLCT's access and inclusion officer for libraries, said: "We have experts from all different disciplines including mental health, dental hygiene, exercise, reflexology, and healthy eating.
"There are around 18 different free sessions over the week all taking place within Leigh Library or the Derby Room at the Turnpike Centre."
For further information and a full list of activities contact Leigh Library on 01942 404404 or visit www.wlct.org/libraries.
