It's been a cracking series from the first episode of the first series. Sad to see it's demise. Sadly there is way too much reality TV crap on all channels that is so much cheaper to make. I could understand if it wasn't getting good ratings.

I mean programmes like Hair, The Great British Sewing Bee, The Voice to name three. And as for the diatribe that is Michael McIntyres 'chat show' - well the less said the better. What a short a5eD irritating object he is!

What is the real reason the BBC have decided that another programme that is top rated by viewer numbers is being cancelled?

They decided to can the excellent Ripper Street but have tied themselves into a deal with Amazon or someone so that it can continue.

The current mob in charge of the BBC seem almost clueless as to what is good TV.
