A TEAM offering free adult cycle training on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has clocked up its 2,000th training session.

The sessions, delivered by qualified cycling instructors, cater for beginners, existing cyclists wanting to build confidence, cycle maintenance and ride leader training.

Cllr Chris Paul, TfGM committee’s cycling champion, said: “Cycling is a great way to travel.

It is healthy, environmentally friendly and affordable, and the take-up on these courses shows that it is now more popular than ever.

“There are courses to suit different needs and ability levels, so if it’s been a while since you have ridden a bike, or if you have never had the chance, then why not give it a go.

“It’s free and you will be learning from experts in a friendly and safe environment.”

The courses regularly take place throughout the ten districts of Greater Manchester.
