A BREIGHTMET man received a suspended sentence after he admitted vandalising a car and trying to break into a sandwich shop Jason Oudomvilay, aged 35, of Lydgate Avenue, pleaded guilty to entering Burstin’ Butty in Deane Road while armed with a bladed item in the early hours of March 31.

He tested positive for drugs when arrested by police and caused some damage to the shop.

Oudomvilay also admitted causing £50 worth of damage to a Nissan Micra on March 24.

He was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, when he appeared before magistrates on March 31.

Oudomvilay was also ordered to pay costs of £315 and told he must remain at his home address for the next 12 months.
