A CAR crash in Breightmet left three people injured - including a small child, police said.

As reported in The Bolton News yesterday, the crash happened in Arnside Grove, near Deepdale Road, at 6.15pm.

The fire service cut out a woman and a toddler from a Volkswagen Polo while police shut the road.

A man in the Vauxhall Astra was also taken to hospital.

The road was cordoned off for nearly two hours while emergency services dealt with the aftermath of the crash.

Police said none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
