FIREFIGHTERS were called after a shed fire spread to a group of conifer trees in a Farnworth garden.
Crews were called to the garden of a house in Glynne Street at about 3.30am after reports that a garden shed had caught fire.
When crews arrived they saw that the flames had spread to a group of conifer trees in the garden.
Two engines were needed to tame the large flames and the firefighters spent about an hour making sure the blaze was out.
Greater Manchester Police has been informed and are investigating the cause of the blaze.
