A MOTORIST who was arrested after allegedly attacking a parking warden after he was issued with a ticket has had all charges against him dropped.
The attendant, who works for NCP, had issued the driver a fine for staying too long in the limited-parking bay in Trinity Street, next to Bolton Train Station, on December 29.
It is believed the ticket was issued when the car had broken down and was being supported on a jack.
Police responded at 1.10pm after the warden pressed an alarm on his hand-held radio, which indicates a serious incident.
A police spokesman said: "A man was arrested on suspicion of assault but the Crown Prosecution Service did not authorise charges and he was released."
