COMPENSATION will be paid to a police officer after he was assaulted.
Stephen Walker, aged 29, of Apple Blossom Grove, Cadishead, admitted using threatening or abusive words of behaviour on April 20 and admitted assaulting PC Abernethy in Bolton.
Walker was fined £250, ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £25 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
