SUPERFIT members of the USN Bolton Arena gym have won exercise equipment for Rivington and Blackrod School in Technogym’s “Let’s Move for a Better World” campaign.

They were among 20,000 people who participated in Technogym’s social campaign to “donate” exercise and promote healthy lifestyles within schools.

Throughout April, until May 2, fitness clubs all over the world shared and donated their movement to the campaign.

Arena gym fitness fanatics completed more than 2.3 million double steps, 350,000 ahead of their nearest rivals in the UK and eighth in the world, to win the equipment.

“All credit must go to our fantastic members,” said Arena commercial manager Gwyn Hughes. “They have exercised harder and in greater numbers than any other gym in the country. To finish first in the country and eighth in the world is a massive achievement.

“We are thrilled to win and be able to donate Technogym gym equipment to Rivington and Blackrod High School and help the fight against childhood obesity.”
